Extension Updates for Firefox 3.1

Quick Update – I’ll update both extensions for Firefox 3.1 this weekend!

Please pester me if I forget (i.e. I haven’t posted by Sunday).

Last post of the summer!

Grad School starts tomorrow, which means the summer is over, and my freedom, GONE. So here’s one last update!

FacePAD
I’ve been getting A LOT of positive feedback about this extension. I’ve also had some correspondence with Mozilla about the authenticity of the extension. The extension, in it’s current state, is not yet able to be taken out of the sandbox. Some more of the code needs to be rewritten, well, reorganized. The code itself is unique at this state. The functionally works the same as Nic Holliday’s version, BUT, looks completely different under the hood. Once I fix this little problem, I’ll upload v0.6.

Also, the only problem some people have been experiencing involves the inability to download all 60 pictures in a 60-photo album. Only the first 20 are downloaded. I haven’t experienced this error myself, so I can’t really comment on it, nor can I fix it. I would suggest the user to close and reopen facebook in a new tab or restart firefox and try again. If the problem persists, then you’re out of luck (for the time being).

Everything seems to be working for once!
Nothing really to report here.
As always, I’m tinkering with the code trying to add requested options, but I never really get to far because I’m quite satisfied with the extension – it works, and that’s all that matters (at least for me).

Anyway, hell begins tomorrow. I’ll post whenever, and I’ll update the extension when I get chances. I check my email daily, but sometimes I can take up to 2 weeks to respond to emails sent to me about an extension. If you’ve sent me, or are planning on sending me an email, rest assured that I have seen it, but I’m being lazy about responding to it (because it is not priority number one).
