FacePAD v0.7.0 (Video) for people reporting errors

[tweetmeme source=”lazyrussian” style=”compact” only_single=false]

NOTE: AN UPDATE IS NOW AVAILABLE: http://z.isosp.in/djQ5Af

Greetings,

At the moment, I have two people who have reported an error stating that FacePAD v0.7.0 is downloading photos over and over again. I know which part of the code would cause this, but I just don’t see it happening every time I test an extension.

Here’s a 3-4 min video I made showing that v0.7.0 works as advertised. I’ll look into the issue, but I can’t promise I’ll be able to fix it.

(It is recommended that you SAVE LINK AS… to your desktop and launch it there).

Greetings!

On the evening of January 27th, FacePAD was published in PC World Magazine with all positive reviews. It was then re-purposed for the Washington Post newspaper and a slew of others. I just thought I’d share the news with all the FacePAD users!

Follow Lazyrussian on Twitter

I’ve had a year-long love/hate relationship with Twitter. I’ve finally decided to incorporate twitter into my daily “share” routine. I tend to share a lot of thinks via Email using (Email This!) to my friends and Family, and I do the same to my extended connections via Facebook. Now, with the advent of software like Socialite and Gruml I can do it all at once. I’ve decided to include twitter, because I have this crazy impusle so spread the wealth of random internet garbage to others =p

Anyway, follow me if you’re interested in web apps, browser extensions, software discount codes, international economics and funny pics/videos.

Official member of the Sandbox Network

Greeting,

I was invited to become a member of Sandbox, a highly selective organization of innovators under the age of 30. The organization allows like-minded people to discover one another to share ideas and form business relationships. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has downloaded my extensions, rated them, and made them viral. Without you, I would have never gotten the invitation!

Here’s some more info about Sandbox, taken from their facebook page:

Sandbox is a global community of outstanding young achievers and innovators. Our ultimate goal is to have positive impact in this world by identifying, bringing together and empowering the most inspiring young people under 30. We support our members with different tools that allow them to create bigger change, have more influence and grow faster in whatever they want to achieve. At the moment the tools in the Sandbox include a global online platform, a growing network of ambassadors, regular events in hubs across the world, access to senior supporters, offering of special opportunities, and a young team worldwide that spends days and nights to personally connect our members with each other.

At Sandbox we value achievements over grades, and passion over career. Sandboxers love what they do and already in their twenties run their own businesses, drive forward their organizations, take over leadership roles, do political work, write books or build social enterprises. Sandbox is not about business but about positive impact, inspiration and challenges.

Sandbox is not a social network but a global community where hand-selected people come together to exchange ideas, build meaningful relationships and drive their next big idea forward.

Sandbox is professionally managed by a young and diverse team based in London, New York and Singapore and Zurich.

Lazyrussian, A Musician

Aside from doing physics and programming, I also enjoy making Electronic music. I’ve decided to start posting pieces that I am proud of. In the past, I’ve made new-age music under the guise of DJ Elujin. Now, I am posting a new piece under the guise of Lazyrussian, which will be strictly Trance, House and Dance music. I’ve made a couple pieces under this name, but I’m only proud of one at the moment. You can find it by CLICKING HERE, which will take you to the new MUSIC page on lazyrussian.com. The songs will be hosted by soundcloud, and will be embedded on this site since WordPress supports clips from soundcloud. Following my mantra of giving things away for free, these songs will always be free to download, but I’m always happy to take donations 🙂 – I’m worried that it’s illegal for me to charge for music, especially when some of the tracks are mash-ups of other songs. Anyway, enjoy the free music, and please do comment!
